Often a good gauge of your state of being is how you respond to stimulus. A person such as our basic man who is unconscious will respond to negative input by becoming more unconscious using distractions or simply becoming aggressive or emotional. A conscious person in the same situation becomes more focused and more conscious. Allowing ones self to move beyond the sleep function mode of being will: increase your wisdom and intelligence, happiness, quality of life, relationships with everything, ability to concentrate, sleep, the way you enjoy food even, etc etc. There is nothing to lose except what is worth losing and everything to gain.
Dont be shy of admitting your mistakes. There are better chances of improving yourself once you recognize your faults. Keep the list of your bad habits as a very personal and private thing. Dont share it with others or show it to anyone. Once you are able to quit bad habits then you can proudly tell your success story to your friends.
